Visit The Mosaic District

Just thirteen minutes from Ovation at Park Crest is the most innovative retail and entertainment experience in the Washington D.C. area.

It’s known as the Mosaic District, and it features an intelligent urban design that enhances the way people interact and create a community.

Highlights include:

Fair Trade Winds – Fair Trade Winds is a family owned business that believes in paying a fair wage to ensure that artisans and farmers can provide a decent standard of living for their spouses and children. Each handmade product has a story and items include beaded necklaces, messenger bags, and knitwear.

Mosaic Farmers Market – Held every Sunday, the Mosaic Farmers Market features chef demonstrations, live music, and wine tasting. There are a variety of vendors including Blue Ridge Dairy Co., Chase Your Tail Bakery, and Facility’s Handcrafted Soaps.

Angelika Film Center & Cafe – Angelika opened in 1989, and it has become one of the highest-grossing dedicated art houses in the United States. It features eight auditoriums that are complete with stadium seats and the latest in digital projection and sound technology.

Cyclone Anaya’s – Since 1966, Cyclone Anaya’s has served delicious Mexican cuisine. Founded by famed wrestler Cyclone Anaya, the restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere, friendly service, and homemade dishes that leave guests wanting to return for more. Menu options include Betsy’s Tamales, Brisket Enchiladas, and Roasted Chicken Chile Relleno.

Matchbox – This restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with warm woods, exposed brick, and bright red metal. It opened twelve years ago after three friends had a dream to serve delicious food and have seamless service in a space that expressed an interest in design. The menu includes barbecue baby back ribs, crispy chicken, and pepperoni wood fired pizza.
