Are you looking for new places to shop near Ovation at Park Crest? If so, head to Washington DC. It’s less than fifteen miles from McLean and is home to a variety of gift and specialty stores such as:
Tiny Jewel Box
The Tiny Jewel Box opened during the Great Depression in a small storefront on G Street. Owned and operated by the Rosenheim family’s third generation, the store is now located in a historic four-story building on Connecticut Avenue. Their motto is “if it’s not special, it’s not here,” and the store’s website states that the first floor contains the largest collection of vintage and antique jewelry in the area, as well as the largest collections from top designers.
The Indian Craft Shop
Established in 1938, this unique shop is inside the U.S. Department of the Interior and it features American Indian crafts from across the country. Known as one of DC’s hidden gems, the shop is under historical preservation as it features murals by the late Allan Houser and the late Gerald Nailor that date back to when it first opened. Shoppers find a variety of crafts such as pottery, kachina dolls, and weavings.
Labyrinth Games & Puzzles
This shop is a must visit for those planning a game night or need a gift for that hard-to-buy-for-someone. It features a large selection of games and puzzles, and shoppers can enjoy several hands-on activities and games while they’re in the store. Labyrinth has a five-star rating on Yelp for its friendly, knowledgeable staff, atmosphere, and fun game night that’s held on the first Sunday of every month.
